Hearing the Voice of God

"My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me." — John 10:27

Francis heard Christ speak to him from the crucifix at San Damiano. This was not magic but the fruit of faithful prayer and genuine seeking. He had created space in his life for God's voice by stepping away from the noise of his former existence.
