Scripture Reading
"Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me."
Matthew 25:40
When Francis kissed the leper's hand, he discovered that what had seemed most repulsive became a source of joy. In that suffering stranger, he encountered Christ himself. Our deepest transformations often come through those we would rather avoid.
Who are the "lepers" in your life—the people you instinctively avoid? How might Christ be waiting to meet you through them?
"Jesus, give me courage to embrace those I would rather ignore. Help me see Your face in the suffering, the outcast, the unwanted. Amen."
